The Need for Education About Emissions of CO2
Though there has been more information made available about the effects of CO2 on the environment, some feel that more should be done.
Usually referred to as the ‘greenhouse effect,’ education about emissions of CO2 is usually not given a high priority as common thought believes that we either won’t be able to do anything about it, or that we don’t need to worry about it yet. However, both of these excuses seem to be losing their validity.
Where does CO2 come from?
Most of us still believe that the majority of CO2 comes from us, but is easily used by the plants on the earth. And while this used to be true, the diminishing plant population along with the surge in human population is creating a vast difference in the CO2 supply and demand.
With the increase in the CO2 in the air (because it can’t be utilized quick enough by plants) from industrial sources as well as humans, there is a probably warming effect that will occur – hence, the need for education about emissions of CO2.

For one, education about emissions of CO2 needs to become more widespread. Too few people know about the actual risks of this increase in atmospheric gases and in this ignorance, aren’t making changes to their life to help slow the dangers that are looming in the future.
Schools may be able to take an active role in teaching these possibilities – even at a young age. Adults can also be educated through mass media as well as documentaries and public regulations that will help control the increase in CO2.
What steps can we take to reduce CO2?
Everyone has a different solution for the problem of CO2. Education about emissions of CO2 teaches people to try to increase the number of trees as well as plant life in their areas. This will help the CO2 to have a way to be utilized so that it doesn’t remain stagnant in the environment.
However, there is also a push to decrease the CO2 emissions that are being released by industries as well as cars. There may even come a time when the population will need to be regulated in order to reduce the possibility of more CO2 being exhaled.
Deforestation and other stripping of natural resources can also help with CO2 levels. But a mass education about emissions of CO2 will need to occur throughout the world to ensure that action can be taken worldwide.
