Failed Emissions
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandates that possible failed emissions of pollutants and particles, both into the air and water, be monitored, measured, and reported regularly.
The EPA uses this data to evaluate air and water quality, and to insure that manufacturers are within the emission limits as defined by the U.S. government. In addition to the EPA, states and cities may have additional air and/or water emission regulations that must be met.
Know the Law
It is the responsibility of business owners to clearly understand the U.S. Clean Air Act, water and hazardous waste laws, and what possible failed emissions must be monitored and controlled according to federal, state, and local regulations.
Understanding these laws, and complying with them can be quite a difficult and daunting task, and requires a thorough knowledge of the law, regulations, and monitoring requirements for each industry.

Owners who do not comply with federal regulations having failed emissions testing can be faced with hefty fines, EPA intervention, and rigorous action plans and costs to bring emission monitoring and control to within legal limits.
Because EPA regulations are complex and dynamic, it is essential to have experts that specialize in this area and that are knowledgeable, select the proper equipment for collection, and develop your emission measurement testing procedures to prevent failed emissions, as well as any monitoring and reporting programs that are required by law.
Be Proactive
It’s much easier to be proactive and clearly understand all the rules and regulations surrounding emissions for your company and have in place the proper equipment, rather than face government intervention and fines.
With a good monitoring and reporting program, along with the proper emission collection devices, you can avoid potentially expensive and public non-compliance exposure with the EPA, state, and local agencies because of failed emissions.
